About Frankfort, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Frankfort, Kentucky serves as the state capital, and it is also the county seat for Franklin County. Despite its role as capital, the city is only the 15th largest in Kentucky in terms of population – about 27,700 people resided here as of 2018 estimates. Frankfort is home to Kentucky State University, and with two school districts serving the city, teenaged youth will attend either Frankfort High School or Franklin County High School.

There are many interesting places to visit in Frankfort. Like other cities in the region, Frankfort is known for its bourbon, which can be enjoyed at Buffalo Trace Distillery and Castle & Key Distillery. Rebecca Ruth Candy Tours & Museum and the Salato Wildlife Education Center are popular stops for families, and the Daniel Boone Burial Site is a great destination for history buffs. Outdoor recreation is also plentiful in Frankfort at Capital View Park, Canoe Kentucky, and Cove Spring Park.

The weather in Frankfort and the rest of the Inland Bluegrass Region is characteristic of a humid subtropical zone. Winter weather tends to be cold, although snowfall totals are minimal. Average daily highs in January stay in the low-40s, but nighttime lows often fall well below freezing. To stay safe at home, residents need the right gas or electric furnace, and a unit with a high AFUE will be the most cost-efficient investment.

Summer weather is significantly different from winter conditions. The weather warms up during the spring, and by June, conditions are hot and muggy. July is the hottest month, and with average daily high temperatures of about 86 degrees Fahrenheit combined with high humidity, it is crucial that residents plan ahead when it comes to their home air conditioning system. Regular air conditioning maintenance is recommended, as it prevents small problems from becoming big issues while ensuring optimal comfort system performance.
