About Paris, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Found in Bourbon County, Kentucky, Paris is a city located about 18 miles northeast of Lexington. Paris is the county seat, and it was home to about 8,600 people as of 2010. This community was originally settled in 1776, and early settlers were French refugees. Today, Paris is a historic community with small-town hospitality. It provides a safe place to live, work, and raise a family while offering convenient access to nearby major cities.

There are many interesting places to visit in Paris, which is becoming more popular for visits and day-trippers. The Bourbon Drive-In Theatre is a 1956 drive-in featuring concessions and first-run films. Like most of the region, horse farms are plentiful in Paris and include Claiborne Farm and Runnymede Farm, and horseback riding is available through Clove Hill Farm and Schefferlridge Farm. Antiques are plentiful at Ardery’s Antiques and Loch Lea Antiques, and the outdoors can be enjoyed at Nannine Clay Wallis Arboretum.

As part of a humid subtropical climate zone, Paris experiences moderately cold winters, although mild periods are also common. January is the coldest month, and average high temperatures reach about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The area receives only about 13 inches of snowfall each season, but rain is fairly evenly distributed throughout the season. Overnight temperatures easily dip below freezing, so it is important that residents have a reliable electric or gas furnace at home.

Conditions during the summer months are quite the opposite of wintertime weather in Paris. Temperatures rise throughout the spring, leading to a hot summer with high humidity. Central air conditioning is preferred over window units for home cooling, as these systems provide ultimate cooling and safety compared to other options. Should Paris homeowners require service on their central A/C unit, it is important to have a reliable technician available to diagnose, adjust, and repair the issue to quickly restore comfort.
